Excellent opportunity for a Production Team Leader
The Candidate
* Previous food manufacturing experience
* NVQ in Food Manufacturing desirable
* Basic Food Hygiene Certificate desirable
* Working Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Health and Safety
The Role
Health and safety responsibility
* Accountable for ensuring the completion of near miss/incident reports and subsequent accident investigations.
* Understand the importance of behavioural safety
* Improvements in Workplace Organisation (PAWS, HandS huddles)
* Understand and enforce site safety policies and rules
Quality
* Ensure that all aspects of quality in the area are in accord with the company quality procedures.
* Ensure appropriate assistance is provided when quality incidents or non-conformances occur, that correct information is gathered to enable thorough Root Cause Analysis and that correct escalation procedures are followed
Performance
* Delivery of the production plan
* Successful achievement of daily performance targets (KPI’s) including: Material and resource supply management for the packing area (KANBAN)
* Productivity targets
* Ensure the appropriate allocation of resources
* Maintain productivity, safety quality and hygiene standards in the area using Lean, Continuous Improvement and Problem solving techniques
People
* Lead a team of multi skilled operators
* Responsible for the recruitment and selection of new team members.
* Understand the company disciplinary/ grievance and other key procedures and fully implement HR policies related to team members and their activities.
* Responsible for TandD of the team
